How It Works
This questionnaire is designed to help you understand how your nervous system responds when you try to calm yourself.
You’ll answer 12 short questions about what you notice in your body and mind when you use calming strategies, including whether they help your system settle or leave it feeling more overstimulated.
At the end, you’ll receive:
✓A clear result showing how your nervous system is currently responding.
✓Plain-language insights to help you interpret what you’re noticing.
✓ Guidance on what tends to help — and what may be too much right now.
You’ll also be invited to explore gentle, self-guided resources if you want further support.
There’s no requirement to move forward.
What This Questionnaire Explores

Nervous System Settling
Does your body actually calm down when you try to relax?
This looks at whether calming efforts lead to signs like eased tension, steadier breathing, or feeling more grounded afterwards.

Signs of Over-stimulation
Do calming efforts leave you feeling restless, tense, or unsure they’re helping?
This looks at signs that calming attempts may feel effortful, activating, or uncomfortable for your system.

Effort vs. Effect
Are you able to calm your system without pushing or forcing it?
Effort vs Effect helps interpret settling efforts and signs of overstimulation and looks at whether calming seems to work because of effort, or whether relief tends to happen when effort is reduced or stopped.
